Just when Su-Ning and Guo-Mei were knee-deep in their get-listed process and had to toe the mark, Yong-Le Appliance made its thrust and snatched up the great chance from Shun-Dian to gain its entry into Grandview Plaza, staking out a place for itself in that newly-come magnate.

 

At the same time, Yong-Le kicked on its ¡°Great Guangzhou¡± strategy, making its flagship in Grandview a core radiating to Foshan, ShunDe, PanYu, HuangDu and DongGuan, ensuring its inestimable advantages. What they are now aiming at is a sale that could amount to 2 billion by April next year.

 

Raise The Sign of Yong-Le

 

The day before yesterday, GuangDong Yong-Le Household Appliance settled its cooperation contract with Grandview Plaza, with an emporium about 10000 square meters Yong-Le set up its first flagship in GuangDong Province, replying to the new outlets of Su-Ning and Guo-Mei in Tianhe Road North.

 

Sitting right at the center of the city¡¯s axis, Grandview Plaza incomparably enjoys decisive advantages. Drawing of precious experiences and theory essence from the forerunners in Europe and the United States, Grandview seems could even surpass them with its huge scale, incessant pedestrian flow, excellent planning, unique geographic location and inestimable prosperity in prospect. As a key project of Guangzhou, the largest tax-free trade zone of CEPA, and the only appointed shopping mall as a demonstration spot for commercial tourists in China, Grandview Plaza is expected to attract more than 800,000 visitors per day when it opens. No wonder it has become the hot cake to all businessmen.

 

Place of higher value deserves higher rents, there¡¯s no exceptional with Grandview Plaza. Now as we can see, more than 90% associates of Grandview¡¯s are global brands. Many household appliance dealers did not conceal their envy and yearning when talking about the Plaza¡¯s position in market: it certainly would be the best choice to set up a flagship there, but the expensive costs make it a place at which most of businessmen can just look from a distance. But Yong-Le is absolutely not one of the onlookers.

 

People from Grandview divulged that, because of price and other issues, cooperation between Shun-Dian and Grandview had been hanging in the air for some time, but then all in a sudden there came Yong-Le, who signed a lease with an expiration of 10 years. Neither did Grandview nor Yong-Le like to mention about the accurate price they agreed on, yet journalists did, by all means, have managed to make estimations that it would not be lower than RMB 150 million. The first sum of investment from Yong-Le, among which the decoration fund amounts to RMB 60 million, and plus RMB 30 million propagandas charges, equaling an investment for 5 flagship shops by the general standard of chain shop market.

 

Fashionable Hut of Electric Appliance

Mr. Ming-Jia Huang, GM of Canton Yong-Le Electric Appliance, indicates that, with the strong backing from their headquarter, they¡¯ve already got a plan of a hundred million for the brand-setup project in Grandview Plaza, and among the said budget 40 million would be used in the upgrading of the chain system in order to strengthen the sales management and logistic supply.

 

The Yong-Le flagship in Grandview Plaza will be its most advanced outlet with most modernized equipments within South China, setting as a perfect foil to Grandview¡¯s image, as Mr. Huang put it. The products displaying will be divided into 8 parts: IT Digital, fashionable mobile, ¡°white appliances¡± (a.k.a. air-conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines), TV, small household appliances, small personal appliances and Hi-Fi. Let¡¯s say Grandview Plaza could be a big window, through which you can have a glance of the varied famous brands in the global market, as well as a gangway for our national brands to enter the more colorful international space.

 

Different Opinions

 Regarding Yong-Le¡¯s entr¨¦e into Grandview Plaza, Journalists respectively interviewed representatives from Su-Ning and Guo-Mei, both rivals of Yong-Le. Although neither of them had given any direct comments, they both raised a question: could Yong-le survive such a heavy financial stress?

 ¡°This is exactly what Yong-le is facing now,¡± answered Mr. Ming-Jia Huang. ¡°And that¡¯s why we¡¯re doing our utmost seeking support from our suppliers.¡± It is said that most of renowned national and international manufacturers are target-associates of Yong-le¡¯s.
